THEATRE UNDER THE STARS' Houston Area High School Winners For the Sixth Annual Tommy Tune Awards
HOUSTON, TEXAS… On March 24, 2008 John C. Breckenridge, President and CEO of Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) announced the nominations for TUTS’ sixth annual Tommy Tune Awards. The awards ceremony was held on Tuesday, April 22, 7:30 p.m. at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Developed by TUTS, the Tommy Tune Awards honors musical theatre excellence at the high school level. After reviewing and evaluating the 41 participating Houston-area high school productions during the 2007-2008 school year, a team of 31 Houston-based theatre professionals made 157 nominations in 15 categories.
